Additional Snow Sports Lesson Policies
- Helmets are mandatory.
- Students should be dressed and ready to go at their scheduled lesson time.
- Private Lessons meet outside in front of the lodge.
- Weekly Programs & Camps meet at the carpet.
- Drop-off and pick-up must always take place on the carpet. Not at the base of the Sheehan lift or inside the lodge.
- Programs begin promptly at their scheduled times. If the group has already left the meeting area, late arrivals will need to wait until the group returns to the lodge during a break. Late arrivals delay the entire group; no make-up lessons will be provided.
- For group lessons, instructors will wait for 5 minutes before continuing with the group.
- For scheduled private and semi-private lessons, instructors will wait up to 15 minutes. After that time, the instructor may be reassigned to another lesson and the original lesson will be canceled with no refund.
- If you are late for your lesson and we cannot accommodate, you will not be eligible for a refund.
- After three missed lessons (no-shows), students may be removed from the program, as they fall behind on skills. Since this is a group lesson, we are not able to provide one-on-one instruction if/when the student falls behind.
- The Snow School reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or change lesson dates/times due to, by way of example but without limitation, availability of instructors, terrain, weather conditions, if guest signed up for wrong ability level, insufficient lesson participants, guest punctuality, lift access, etc.
- If the snow school cancels a lesson, we will attempt to reschedule.
- If it cannot be rescheduled, a refund will be issued.
- All cancellation or refund requests will be processed by emailing
snowbowl@middlebury.edu.
